Heal Her (2018-present)

Heal Her is a collective action for the healing and prevention of sexual violence.. Meeting in circles around the world, we create spaces and rituals dedicated to storytelling, consciousness-raising, empathetic listening, and collective healing.

Ritual performance with the public at Wick Woodland in London, UK.

Facilitated by artists, healers, therapists, and activists, Heal Her uses the ancient concept of the talking circle as a platform for participants to share survival stories, coping strategies, and experiences related to sexual and gender-based violence. The talking circle is rooted in indigenous practices that many communities still engage in today. By coming together through storytelling, music, dance, and ritual, circles promote group cohesion, facilitate interpersonal communication, and provide spiritual guidance.

Hosted at galleries, private homes, churches, and community centers, Heal Her launches in 2018 with events in Los Angeles, New York, Paris, Berlin, Boston, London, San Francisco, Amsterdam, Utrecht, and Mexico City. Flower offerings from each circle are used to build an installation in collaboration with Annique Delphine in August 2019.
